Privacy Policy
 
This Privacy Policy covers the use of the Careersway web site and explains to you how your information is protected, collected and used. We hope that this information increases your confidence in the Careersway website and understand that Careersway may update this policy from time to time. Careersway will provide notice of materially significant changes to this Privacy Policy by posting notice on the Careersway site.
1. Protecting your privacy
  • 1. We don't run banner ads, pop ups, pop unders, or any other kind of commercial ads.
  • 2. We don't share your information with third parties for marketing purposes without your explicit consent, except as specified in this privacy policy.
  • 3. We don't engage in cross-marketing or link-referral programs with other sites.
  • 4. We don't employ tracking devices for marketing purposes ("cookies", "web beacons," single-pixel gifs).
  • 5. We don't send you unsolicited communications for marketing purposes.
  • 6. We offer email anonymization & relay, to reduce 3rd party harvesting & spam.
  • 7. Careersway collects personal information when you register to use Careersway services or to post content on Careersway. At registration you are asked for your email address and certain other optional information. Account information is password-protected. Keep your password safe.
  • 8. Forums use basic webserver authentication. Close your browser to log out.
  • 9. Careersway does not knowingly collect any information from persons under the age of 18. If Careersway learns that a posting is by a person under the age of 18, Careersway will remove that post.
  • 10. Careersway, or people who post on Careersway, may provide links to third party websites, which may have different privacy practices. We are not responsible for, nor have any control over, the privacy policies of those third party websites, and encourage all users to read the privacy policies of each and every website visited.
2. Service-related announcements
  • 1. Careersway will send you a welcome/confirmation email when you sign up for Careersway's services. Receipt of this email is required for using Careersway’s services.
  • 2. Careersway will send you service-related announcements on rare occasions when it is necessary to do so.
  • 3. You may not opt-out of service-related communications, which are not promotional in nature. If you do not wish to receive them, you have the option to deactivate your account by emailing support@Careersway.com from the email address you signed up with.
3. Information Sharing and Disclosure
When you post a message, your Careersway ID or alias is visible to other users. If you post personal information online that is accessible to the public, you may receive unsolicited messages from other parties in return. Careersway may be required to disclose personally identifiable information under special circumstances, such as to comply with subpoenas or when your actions violate the Careersway Terms of Service. Careersway may disclose personally identifiable information to parties in compliance with Careersway's Copyright Policy, as Careersway in Careersway 's sole discretion believes necessary or appropriate in connection with an investigation of fraud, intellectual property infringement, piracy, or other unlawful activity. It may be necessary to share information in order to investigate, prevent, or take action regarding illegal activities, suspected fraud, situations involving potential threats to the physical safety of any person, violations of Careersway 's Terms of Service, as specified in this Privacy Policy or as otherwise required by law. Careersway may disclose information about its users if required to do so by law or in the good faith belief that such disclosure is reasonably necessary to respond to subpoenas, court orders, or other legal process. Careersway may also disclose information about its users to law enforcement officers or others, in the good faith belief that such disclosure is reasonably necessary to: enforce our Terms of Use; respond to claims that any posting or other content violates the rights of third-parties; or protect the rights, property, or personal safety of Careersway, its users or the general public. As part of the buying and selling process, you may obtain another Careersway user's email address, shipping address and/or other information. Pursuant to Careersway's Terms of Service, you have a limited license to use this information. This information should only be used for Careersway -related communications or for Careersway -facilitated transactions. Careersway has not granted you a license to use the information for unsolicited commercial messages. Without limiting the foregoing, without express consent from the user, you are not licensed to add any Careersway user to your email or physical mail list.
4. Data we collect
  • 1.We sometimes collect your email address, for purposes such as sending self-publishing and confirmation emails, authenticating user accounts, providing subscription email services, registering for forums, etc.
  • 2.For paid job postings, we collect contact information, such as name(s), phone/fax number(s), and address for billing purposes.
  • 3.We sometimes collect your phone number for account authentication purposes, and may transmit it to a third party service for tele-robotic verification.
  • 4.Careersway does not store credit card information. Credit card transactions are transmitted to a financial gateway, and we endeavor to protect the security of your payment information during transmission by using Secure Sockets Layer (SSL) technology.
  • 5.We may collect personal information if you provide it in feedback or comments, post it on our classifieds or interactive forums, or if you contact us directly. Please do not post any personal information on Careersway's forums or classifieds that you expect to keep private.
  • 6.Our web logs collect standard web log entries for each page served, including your IP address, page URL, and timestamp. Web logs help us to diagnose problems with our server, to administer the Careersway site, and to otherwise provide our service to you.
5. Data we store
  • 1.All classified and forum postings are stored in our database, even after "deletion," and may be archived elsewhere.
  • 1.Our web logs and other records are stored indefinitely.
  • 1.Registered posters can access and update their account information through the account homepage.
  • 1.Although we make good faith efforts to store the information in a secure operating environment that is not available to the public, we cannot guarantee complete security.
6. Editing and deleting account information
You can change your Careersway Account Information (except your username), at any time. Careersway may send you certain communications relating to the Careersway service, such as service-related announcements and administrative messages that are considered part of your Careersway account. You can delete your Careersway account by emailing support@Careersway.com. Please note that your identification, billing and contact information may remain in Careersway's records for some period. Careersway will respond to your request within 10-20 business days.
7. Changes to this Privacy Policy
We may change this Privacy Policy from time to time. Your use of the Careersway site, and any disputes arising from it, is subject to this Privacy Policy and the Terms of Use and all of its dispute resolution provisions including arbitration, limitation on damages and choice of law. The most recent version of the Privacy Policy will always be posted on the Site, with the “Effective Date” posted at the top of the Policy. We will inform you if we substantially modify the way we handle your personally identifiable information by posting a notice on the Site, and we will give you the opportunity to opt-out of such differing uses.
8. Sweepstakes & Promotions
From time to time we will offer sweepstakes or other promotions in conjunction with a sponsor. By participating in a promotion, you submit to that promotion’s teams and conditions including providing us with permissions, if required, to share your personally identifiable information with a particular sponsor.
9. Special Products
In addition to sweepstakes and promotions we will also be able to offer you special products or service through a relationship with a third party. In those cases, the offer will be brought to you by Careersway and fulfilled by a third party. If you accept the offer, you will become a customer of the company that is fulfilling the offer and we will not have control over their use of the personally identifiable information that you provide to them when you accept the offer.
10. Demonstration Accounts
We occasionally provide demonstration accounts that allow non-users a glimpse into the Careersway world. Such accounts have limited capabilities (i.e. messaging is disabled) and passwords are changed regularly to limit possible misuse.
11. International Users
Careersway is hosted in the United States. If you are using this site from outside the United Stated, by providing your information to this Site, you are consenting to the transfer of your information to the United States for processing and maintaining in accordance with this Privacy Policy and our Terms of Service. You are also consenting to the application of United States law in all matters concerning this Site.
